Reference Age

You're unlikely to be able to identify all the Google Streetview images on their own, but you should be able to place a few. Find those and see what you can figure out.

Make sure to try reverse image searching. We recommend starting with the later images - our testsolvers found those to be easier to id. You can take a look at the one with Japanese on it to help you locate it.

Given that you've found some of the images, maybe you can associate them somehow with the arrows. After doing that once or twice, what might strike you about where the circles end up?

The title is surprisingly literal for the subject matter of this puzzle.

The flavor text mentions something "golden". Are there golden objects that mark "reference age"'s?

At each of the circles, there's something that (to Americans, at least) will be more familiar as a monument in Utah. It marks something.

Photos 5 and 6 may be helpful. Where do their paths end? Have you tried googling that?

Some of these paths end in a location that contains GSSP in its name. What does that stand for?

The numbers at the bottom are indexes into each of the missing words. What would be a sensible ordering for these timeframes?
