getting started, start

Since you are told that you are removing common steel making impurities, perhaps you can identify some in your answers.

getting started, start

Every answer has N, P, and S in it.

weights

You are given the difference in the standard weight between the finished product and the raw material. The raw material still includes the weight of the impurities you had to remove.

weights

Since you are given the difference in the standard weight between the finished product and the raw material, you need to add the weight removed to the given weight to find the weight of the 2-3 elements that need to be alloyed in.

adding, alloying

You need to find 2-3 elements whose weights sum to the NPS weights plus the given added weight and insert those elements into the remaining letters to make a new word. Make sure to use the standard (abridged) weight.

adding, alloying

Notice that the answers you got so far are each 1 letter shorter than the title of the puzzles. You can use that to deduce how many elements may be added into each one.

Extraction/adding in elements

The elemental symbol for Iron appears in each of the feeder titles.

Extraction

The length of the puzzle titles are each 1 letter longer than the resulting word after alloying in your 2-3 metals. Since Fe shows up in each title, if you consider it as a single element rather than two letters, it gives a location in each feeder answer.

Ordering

There are a few sets of numbers in this puzzle. Why not try organizing by a set of numbers and see if that works.

Ordering

You should order smallest to largest using the total weight of the added alloys.

Keep going

You will need to repeat the process that you have completed for each of the feeders

keep going

Just like for each of the feeders, you need to remove any N, P, or S in your current answer and add in 2-3 elements. The elements you add in have to have a sum weight equal to that of the removed elements plus 237.986.

Erratum on : The puzzle "Movie Effects" should instead be titled "Movie Effect".

While exploring Hephaestus's warehouse, you find some notes on his production process. He starts by discarding the common steelmaking impurities from the raw materials, then alloying in ingots of two or three appropriate elements (all stable) to create the finished product. Unfortunately, you don't have the recipes! Fortunately, you have the differences in the standard (abridged) weight between the finished product and the raw material.

Once you refine the raw materials into final products, you can iron out what Pluto should give to Hephaestus.
